Welsh cobs have been on our farm since 1944.
I remember my father, the late Frank Jones cutting hay with 2 cob mares Gwendo who was by North Flyer and Bess by King Flyer.

The noted stallion Mathrafal, was stabled several times throughout the working season in the 1940's at my dads home, Dolwarfach, Dolanog as has his sire Mab-y-Brenin.

We have based our studs bloodlines on Mathrafal and Hendy Brenin.

This photo on Nesscliffe Rainbow was taken at the Royal Welsh in 1974 as a 5yr old This was my first time to exhibit at this show which I have shown at regularly since.

Throught the 1980's I would show 5 or 6 Welsh Cobs at the Royal Welsh most years, and would be placed within the first 6 with each one. Glanvyrnwy Welsh cobs have gone on to excel in all disiplines.
